Domaine Capmartin has cultivated its vines organically since 2009, demonstrating a commitment to environmental responsibility. This 100% Tannat, grown in clay-siliceous soil, is crafted with meticulous care: destemmed grapes, punch-downs and rackings in open vats for a 20-day fermentation. Aging in vats preserves the purity of the fruit and its freshness.

Our opinion on the vintage

The deep garnet color of this wine conceals a discreet yet intriguing nose of candied black fruit and sweet spices. On the palate, one discovers a velvety texture that delicately combines richness and tension. The fruit presence is generous without being overpowering, offering a tasting experience that is both rich and elegant. The invigorating finish links vibrant fruit with captivating mineral notes. This wine is a true invitation to discover the very best that Domaine Capmartin has to offer. A pleasure to savor for lovers of authentic and refined wines.

Domaine Capmartin

Sud-Ouest | France

Within the Madiran appellation, Domaine Capmartin is committed to offering a fresh interpretation of Tannat, the emblematic grape variety of Southwest France. The work carried out in the vineyard and cellar aims to preserve the natural structure of the grape while softening its expression through judicious technical choices.

The winemaking process favors moderate extraction and judicious use of oak, allowing the wine to breathe more fully. This approach results in reds where the tannic structure remains present but unfolds with greater suppleness and fluidity. The fruit gains clarity, the textures are balanced, and the finishes retain a remarkable drinkability.

The entire range of wines offers a modern and coherent interpretation of Madiran, attentive to freshness, readability and the evolution of the wines, without denying the identity of the terroir or that of the grape variety.
