Cour-Cheverny | White | 2020

The grapes of the rare Romorantin variety are carefully harvested after a cool summer and a very sunny autumn. This meticulous process yields a wine with a perfect balance of freshness and ripeness, characterized by great aromatic purity. The gentle acidity provides a lively vibrancy, complemented by a slight effervescence. The finish, rich and harmonious, blends sweet, bitter, and astringent notes. This wine promises to develop beautifully over the years.

Our opinion on the vintage

This wine offers a captivating nose with aromas reminiscent of ripe fruit. On the palate, the balance between sugar and acidity is remarkable, with a vibrant and invigorating freshness. This sensation is complemented by a subtle effervescence that adds an elegant and refreshing dimension. The aromatic profile unfolds in a luscious finish, where the initial sweetness gradually gives way to bitter and astringent notes, providing a delightful complexity. This Romorantin will perfectly complement refined aperitifs or sophisticated dishes, but also shows great promise for aging.

At Cheverny, Domaine des Huards has practiced biodynamic viticulture for so long that the vineyard seems to breathe to its own rhythm. The Romorantin finds a surprisingly energetic expression there, full of nuance. The Sauvignon Blanc plays a more composed, almost saline note. The reds remain supple, pleasant, and barely infused. The whole forms a remarkably coherent range, free of artifice.
