Our opinion on the vintage
This wine opens with a brilliant, pale gold color. The discreet nose reveals delicate aromas of warm apple, melted butter, and candied lemon. On the palate, the texture is round and ample, with a luscious body complemented by a crisp freshness. The fruit is flavorful, balanced by a taut, clean finish where notes of ripe pear and citrus peel mingle with a delicate bitterness. This energetic bitterness/astringency duo lends a lovely vibrancy, revealing the unique volcanic terroir from which the wine originates.
Les Chemins de l'Arkose
Languedoc | France
In the Puy-de-Dôme region, volcanic soils sculpt vibrant, precise wines, almost mineral in texture. The estate cultivates Gamay and Pinot Noir with a very gentle extraction process. The result: elegant, lingering, and remarkably easy-drinking reds. A beautiful expression of altitude.
