Le Piolet 2025

IGP Urfé | White | 2025

Hand-harvested from the basalt-rich volcanic soils of Champdieu, this wine is the result of a harmonious blend of Sauvignon Gris and Sauvignon Blanc. Gently pressed using a pneumatic press, it retains all its purity and vibrancy thanks to aging in stainless steel tanks, favoring the most faithful expression of its terroir. Filtered and with minimal residual sugar, it is bottled at the estate.

Our opinion on the vintage

The first visual encounter with this wine reveals a brilliant, pale gold color. As soon as the glass is brought near, the nose is charmed by refined aromas of gooseberry, enriched with floral notes of linden blossom and a delicate hint of citrus and vegetal blackcurrant. On the palate, it's an explosion of freshness where lemon dominates, supported by a lively and precise texture. With each sip, the vibrant acidity makes its mark, leaving an impression of fruity bite. The finish is marked by grapefruit and a touch of menthol, bringing crystalline purity and remarkable persistence. Perfect with oysters or exotic fruit desserts, this wine promises a vibrant tasting experience.
