Sourced from vines on the slopes of Saint-Lanne and Moncaup, this wine draws its character from two complementary terroirs, blending clay-limestone and clay soils interspersed with pebbles. The parcels are vinified separately, with long, gentle macerations in wooden vats to extract depth and substance without compromising balance. Aged for two years in wooden and concrete vats, the wine refines and gains in harmony. Served at around 15-16°C, it pairs perfectly with hearty dishes such as roast leg of lamb, beef bourguignon, or wood pigeon salmis.

Our opinion on the vintage

An intense, deep red color. The nose is clean and elegant, dominated by black fruits such as blueberry and blackberry, with a fresher touch of raspberry and blackcurrant, enhanced by light spicy notes. A charming wine, where the power remains perfectly controlled. It will drink beautifully now, but will also age gracefully over the next 5 years.

Tannat rarely expresses itself with such mastery as in the Laplace family's Madiran. Extraction is controlled, the wine dense but never overwhelming. The more approachable cuvées offer a tender expression of the grape. The most ambitious display remarkable length. In short: structure and clarity.
