Clos Troteligotte

Cahors K-Lys 2022

Cahors | Red | 2022

K-Lys is an exceptional Malbec, sourced from a small clay-limestone plot in Cahors. Hand-harvested and vinified without sulfites, it benefits from a long, gentle maceration and aging for 24 months in oak casks followed by 24 months in concrete tanks. On the nose, it unfolds aromas of ripe black fruit and subtle spices. On the palate, its velvety and fleshy texture reveals a refined depth and a persistent finish, reflecting an authentic, elegant, and perfectly structured wine.

Located on the Causse de Cahors plateau, Clos Troteligotte covers approximately 19 hectares of vines planted at an altitude of nearly 350 meters, in the heart of a wooded environment. The estate has been managed organically since 2010 and biodynamically for several years, with a focus on preserving the soil and biodiversity.

The vineyard rests on two main types of clay-limestone terroirs identified within the limestone plateau: Kimmeridgian soils and iron-rich siderolithic soils. This geological diversity strongly shapes the wines' profiles and justifies a micro-parcel approach. The vines were planted starting in 1987, and the estate is now managed by Emmanuel Rybinski, who has continued and expanded upon the work begun by the previous generation.

The Malbec grape variety occupies a central place, complemented by Merlot, Tannat, and rarer varieties historically present in the Quercy region, such as Chenin Blanc and Jurançon Noir. In the vineyard, the estate implements ... Lire plus
