Les Cerises 2024

Saint-Chinian | Red | 2024

The Cuvée Les Cerises, made primarily from Syrah, is distinguished by its meticulous winemaking process. The grapes are destemmed and partially crushed, followed by fermentation without added yeasts. This process highlights intense aromas while preserving the natural freshness of the fruit. Aging on fine lees, without the addition of sulfites, enriches the wine's texture, offering a captivating complexity. A wine shaped by the schistous terroir north of Béziers.

Our opinion on the vintage

Les Cerises offers a unique sensory experience from the moment it's opened. Its delicate nose immediately evokes aromas of candied raspberry, mingled with notes of incense, violet, and white pepper. On the palate, the wine seduces with its ample and velvety texture, combining vibrant fruit with a subtle floral touch. The finish is harmonious, revealing more present but well-integrated tannins, where raspberry, violet, and pepper leave a lingering, flavorful aftertaste. A true invitation to indulgence for lovers of elegant and structured wines.

Languedoc | France

A trained oenologist and a true free spirit in Languedoc, Jeff Carrel is one of those winemakers who have profoundly revitalized the image of wines from the South of France. For over twenty-five years, he has been exploring Languedoc terroirs with a simple yet demanding idea: to reveal the best of each grape variety, each plot, without ever masking the wine's identity.

Based in Roussillon, Jeff Carrel works hand in hand with a collective of partner winemakers called Les Amis de Jeff Carrel. Together, they select grapes from carefully chosen terroirs, cultivated with respect for the environment, to produce cuvées that are precise, delicious, and consistently excellent.

His style is distinguished by very expressive wines, driven by fruit, freshness, and balance, far from the heavy reds often associated with the South. Syrah, Grenache, Carignan, and Chardonnay are crafted with finesse to create ... Lire plus
