Our opinion on the vintage

This wine offers a delicately fruity nose, with pleasant hints of red berries. From the first sip, a lovely freshness develops into a silky texture, characteristic of Grenache Noir vinified as a "Blanc de Noirs." The palate unfolds with a fine minerality, carrying a certain tension, a reflection of the 450-meter altitude. There are no heavy notes; everything is elegantly controlled, with a finish that lingers on fruity berry aromas, highlighting the finesse and balance of this remarkable cuvée.

Mas Lasta

Languedoc | France

Mas Lasta is a Languedoc-Roussillon wine estate located near Saint-Jean-de-la-Blaquière, created and run by Anne-Laure Sicard, an agricultural engineer turned winemaker. The name "Lasta" means "last" in Esperanto, as the estate's plots represent the last vineyard land before the Terrasses du Larzac plateau.

The vineyard extends across small, terraced plots at high altitude (400–500 m), planted with old Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, and Carignan vines, cultivated using organic and biodynamic farming methods, sometimes with the help of animal traction. This meticulous vineyard management aims to revive artisanal and environmentally friendly viticulture.

The wines of Mas Lasta, especially the reds from Terrasses du Larzac, are distinguished by their freshness, balanced structure and aromatic expression of the high-altitude terroir, offering complex and harmonious profiles while embodying the purity and spontaneity of the estate's natural practices.
