Late Harvest Tarapacá 2021

Valle del Maipo | White | 2021

The grapes for Tarapacá Late Harvest are carefully selected from plots located on Isla de Maipo. Hand-picked at the end of the season when overripe, these fruits benefit from the influence of the Maipo River. The blend harmoniously combines Sauvignon Blanc, Gewurztraminer, Chardonnay, and Viognier. An optimal drip irrigation system and a rich terroir create an ideal environment for cultivating wines full of character.

Our opinion on the vintage

The Tarapacá Late Harvest reveals intense aromas of tropical fruit and white flowers on the nose, an aromatic richness that invites exploration. On the palate, the sweetness is balanced by a lively freshness, offering a silky and generous texture. Notes of honey mingle with floral and exotic touches, carried by the subtlety of the Gewurztraminer and the depth of the Sauvignon Blanc. The finish is pleasantly long, leaving a delicious and lingering memory.

Viña Tarapacá is a historic Chilean winery founded in 1874 in the Maipo Valley and now part of the VSPT Wine Group, which cultivates a wide range of wines for international export. The estate is renowned for its classic wines made from grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Carménère, Sauvignon Blanc, and Chardonnay, combining winemaking tradition with modern expertise.

Located in one of Chile's most iconic wine valleys, Tarapacá combines the Mediterranean climate of the Maipo with viticultural and oenological techniques refined over time, producing balanced, aromatic and accessible wines, while maintaining a high level of quality for international markets.

Viña Tarapacá wines are renowned both for their expression of Chilean terroir and for their ability to complement a variety of cuisines, reflecting the country's winemaking history since the 19th century.
