The vines, which are over 50 years old and planted on steep slopes with limestone and Rougier soil, give this wine a unique expression of its terroir. Made from the Fer Servadou grape variety, it undergoes careful vinification with a 35-day maceration in stainless steel tanks. Aging in old-wood casks refines the tannic structure, resulting in a wine that can be enjoyed now or cellared to develop further complexity.

Our Review of the Cuvée

Visually, this wine boasts a beautiful red color with violet highlights. Its nose reveals a captivating blend of blackcurrant and mint with a hint of spice. On the palate, the full-bodied texture is carried by flavors of black fruit, enveloped in a structure where the mellow tannins allow the character of the terroir to fully express itself. This wine pairs well with refined cuisine, particularly red meats and game. Delicate and rich, it offers a sensory experience worthy of the finest occasions.

Perched on a promontory overlooking the Garonne Valley, Château du Cros enjoys a rare location at the crossroads of the great sweet wine terroirs of the right bank. The Boyer family, owners since the early 20th century, has patiently rebuilt and replanted the vineyard, opting for a variety of styles: sweet wines, dry whites, and reds.

The estate is situated on clay-limestone soils that are well-suited to Cabernet Sauvignon, which produces refined, precise reds here, focused on fruit and freshness rather than power. A carefully tended, century-old one-hectare plot adds extra depth to certain vintages, without ever weighing down the style.

When it comes to sweet wines, the altitude and exposure promote slow ripening and a well-balanced profile. These wines prioritize finesse and clarity over boldness, with well-integrated sugars and clean finishes. Through its various
