Clos Troteligotte

K-Pot 2023

Cahors | Rouge | 2023

This wine, made without added sulfites, is the result of meticulous winemaking that highlights a micro-parcel selection using native yeasts and gentle extraction. Vinified and aged without sulfur, it benefits from the maturity of its 30-year-old vines, planted on a clay-limestone terroir. Aging on fine lees in concrete tanks helps develop a velvety texture and a full-bodied structure, offering remarkable roundness and freshness.

Our Review of the Cuvée

The nose is expressive and generous, marked by ripe black fruits, cherry pits, and hints of cocoa and pepper. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, round, and very velvety, with a lush, juicy texture. The fruit dominates without feeling heavy, supported by a crisp freshness that extends the finish. A truly addictive wine, both full-bodied and easy to drink.

Clos Troteligotte

Jura | France

Located on the Causse de Cahors, Clos Troteligotte spans approximately 19 hectares of vineyards situated at an elevation of nearly 350 meters, amidst a wooded environment. The estate has been managed organically since 2010 and biodynamically for several years, with a focus on soil preservation and biodiversity.

The vineyard is established on two primary types of clay-limestone terroirs identified within the causse: Kimmeridgian soils and iron-rich siderolithic soils. This geological diversity significantly shapes the wine profiles and necessitates a micro-parcel approach. The vines were planted starting in 1987, and the estate is currently managed by Emmanuel Rybinski, who has continued and enhanced the work initiated by the previous generation.

The Malbec grape varietal holds a central position, complemented by Merlot, Tannat, as well as rarer varietals historically present in ... Read more
