Our Review of the Cuvée

This wine has a brilliant ruby color with violet highlights. On the nose, it offers aromas of black cherry accompanied by subtle woody notes. On the palate, the structure is balanced with roundness and a lovely aromatic presence of blackcurrant, cherry, and slightly spicy notes. The finish is marked by fine tannins and a long, lingering aftertaste. An elegant and balanced wine, ideal for pairing with meat dishes.

In Lalande-de-Pomerol, Château des Annereaux embodies an almost instinctive connection to the vineyard. Dominique, and subsequently Benjamin Hessel, have always maintained this profound bond with the land, the terroir, and the region. The wines exhibit supple profiles with melted tannins, alongside precise and subtly spicy aromatics. They are enjoyable when young, while also possessing significant aging potential. This approach was notably recognized in 2018 when certain cuvées were selected for the Élysée Palace wine cellar.
