Porto Vintage 2017

Douro | Red | 2017

Made with traditional grape varieties, this port is distinguished by its meticulous winemaking. The grapes, grown on the majestic terraces of the Douro Valley, are foot-trodden in granite lagares, allowing for a gentle extraction of aromas. After a brief period in large oak casks, the wine reveals a beautiful aromatic concentration, a legacy of its exceptional terroir and careful winemaking. This wine promises great complexity and remarkable aging potential.

Our opinion on the vintage

This port first captivates with its intense purple hue, then enchants with its powerful nose where notes of black berries mingle with exuberant floral touches. On the palate, it reveals itself to be energetic and fresh, displaying rare depth and an impressive structure. Silky tannins support a complex framework that invites contemplation. Although its aging potential is immense, its richness and balance make it equally enjoyable to drink now for those who appreciate wines with a strong character.

Quinta De La Rosa

Douro | Portugal

Quinta de La Rosa is a family-owned wine estate located in the Cima Corgo sub-region, in the heart of the Douro vineyards in Portugal, renowned for its Port wines and dry wines made from traditional Douro Valley grape varieties, planted on steep terraced schist soils.

The estate has approximately 55 hectares of vineyards on the banks of the Douro around Pinhão, where the varied climatic conditions and soils allow for the production of high-quality reds, whites and fortified wines, with a lovely freshness and characteristic minerality.

In addition to wine production, Quinta de La Rosa is also a wine tourism destination with a restaurant and accommodation, offering visitors the opportunity to discover its wines, its terroir and its century-old history on the banks of the river.
