Our Review of the Cuvée

At first glance, the cloudy, golden hue intrigues, gradually clearing over time to reveal its brilliance. Upon opening, the nose is captivated by the exuberance of Muscat, enriched with delicate notes of orange blossom and citrus peel. On the palate, vibrant freshness and invigorating effervescence delight the senses, releasing an airy texture with opulent fruitiness. The flavors harmoniously blend Muscat and pomelo, complemented by a subtle touch of lemongrass and bitter orange. The finish, sparkling and lively, lingers with a gentle bitterness reminiscent of a spritz, while retaining a subtle residual sweetness.

Clos Du Gravillas

Clos Du Gravillas

Languedoc | France

On the upper slopes of Saint-Jean-de-Minervois, within the Minervois region, Clos du Gravillas cultivates a vineyard established on very stony, calcareous soils, situated at high altitudes. This geological and climatic context promotes gradual maturation and naturally taut balances.

The estate cultivates a diversity of grape varieties—Carignan, Terret, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Mourvèdre—managed under organic agriculture. Vinification processes are conducted with precision, prioritizing fruit purity and measured extractions. This approach yields luminous wines, structured by a tension uncommon for the region.

The cuvées exhibit digestible and vertical profiles, combining depth and freshness without heaviness. The overall work of Clos du Gravillas offers a unique and coherent interpretation of the Minervois terroir, highlighting altitude, soil composition, and a constant pursuit of balance.
