Our Review of the Cuvée

An expressive nose of yellow fruit and subtle spices. Full-bodied, round, and well-balanced on the palate. A rich, indulgent finish.

Based in Dambach-la-Ville since 1720, Maison Joseph Cattin embodies the most accessible expression of Alsatian excellence. Nine generations later, Guillaume Cattin carries on a tradition of winemaking that began in the 18th century across 90 hectares of vineyards, guided by a clear philosophy: perfectly crafted crémants and varietal wines, designed first and foremost for enjoyment.

The estate has also developed the Belvédère Cattin, a contemporary wine tourism destination integrated into the vineyard. Joseph Cattin wines offer a straightforward and approachable take on the great Alsatian grape varieties—Riesling, Pinot Gris, and Gewürztraminer—with the consistency and clarity that have earned the estate its reputation both abroad and in France.
