Vignobles Pueyo
Winemaker Christophe Pueyo cultivates approximately 8.5 hectares of vines around Libourne in the Bordeaux region, on gravelly, infertile soils ideal for the ripening of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon. He is committed to a natural approach, having begun the conversion to organic farming in 2010, with a strong focus on soil health, biodiversity, and viticulture that respects all living things.
In the cellar, Pueyo favors fermentations with indigenous yeasts, without chemical additives, and aging in tanks, large oak casks, or sometimes amphorae, depending on the vintage. This approach aims to allow the purity of the fruit, the identity of the Saint-Émilion terroir, and the aromatic freshness of the wines to fully express themselves.
