Our take on this vintage

This wine opens with a reserved initial nose, but don’t be fooled—it gently reveals all its complexity. On the nose, a symphony of blackcurrant, blueberry, and blackberry, enriched by floral notes of iris and violet, and a hint of mint and pepper. The palate features a clean attack, with a compote-like fruitiness that lends a lovely richness.
. The wine offers a long, elegant, and generous finish, ideal for pairing with refined meat dishes.

Des Roches Neuves Estate

Des Roches Neuves Estate

Loire | France

Located in the Saumur-Champigny region, Domaine des Roches Neuves has been run by Thierry Germain since 1992. The estate is situated on limestone and clay-limestone soils, which are particularly well-suited to Cabernet Franc, as well as Chenin for the white wines.

Starting in 2002, the estate adopted biodynamic practices, focusing intensively on soil management, vine vitality, and yield control. This approach aims to produce balanced grapes that accurately reflect their terroir without artificial intervention in the cellar. Winemaking emphasizes gentle extraction and working with the whole mass to preserve the fruit and natural energy of the juices.

The aging processes are designed to complement the wine, chosen to respect its structure and its ability to express itself, without seeking to dictate its style. The wines are distinguished by their pure fruit, their precision, and a sense of controlled tension, while retaining true depth.
