Les Chailles 2023

Cornas | Red | 2023

A blend of Syrah grapes grown on the fertile granite soils of Cornas, this cuvée is certified organic and cultivated biodynamically. The hand-harvested grapes undergo fermentation with indigenous yeasts before a prolonged maceration. Aged for 18 months in oak barrels, the wine's complexity is enhanced without masking its original aromas, thanks to the absence of new oak. Lightly sulfited, it is produced in limited quantities and offers a wonderful introduction to the estate.

Our opinion on the vintage

Let yourself be seduced by the unique character of this Syrah from Cornas. A nose rich in aromas evokes sun-drenched slopes with subtle notes of pine needles and dried herbs. On the palate, this wine reveals a beautiful structure, combining minerality and fine tannins. Its freshness and slightly resinous character lend it a unique complexity. With its silky tannins, it offers a lovely aromatic persistence. This wine will charm with its ability to be enjoyed both young and after a few years of aging.

Vallée du Rhône | France

In Cornas, Alain Voge has crafted a vision of Syrah that combines firmness and precision. The old vines yield a dense juice, sometimes dark, but held together by remarkable tension. The white wines of Saint-Péray display a calm breadth. A concise statement: controlled depth.
