Les Côtes 2022

Saint-Joseph | Red | 2022

This Saint-Joseph from Domaine Alain Voge, cultivated on the granitic terroir of the "showcase slopes" of Mauves, is the fruit of meticulous organic and biodynamic farming. Grown on 1.1 hectares, this Syrah is distinguished by its careful winemaking: hand-harvested grapes, fermentation with indigenous yeasts, and extended maceration in stainless steel tanks. Sixteen months of aging in oak barrels refines its aromas while preserving the varietal character. With reduced sulfites, this wine displays remarkable balance.

Our opinion on the vintage

From the first sip, this Saint-Joseph captivates with an enchanting bouquet of floral incense, lavender, and spices. On the palate, the texture is silky, the tannins subtle and well-integrated, offering an experience that is both generous and refined. Notes of wild strawberries and blueberries add an irresistible fruity dimension. This wine pairs wonderfully with duck in a pastry crust with apples and chestnuts, the sweetness and acidity of the fruit harmonizing perfectly with its luscious fruitiness. Enjoy now or cellar to fully appreciate its evolution.

Vallée du Rhône | France

In Cornas, Alain Voge has crafted a vision of Syrah that combines firmness and precision. The old vines yield a dense juice, sometimes dark, but held together by remarkable tension. The white wines of Saint-Péray display a calm breadth. A concise statement: controlled depth.
