Everything You Need to Know About Chignin
Chignin is a Savoie appellation that produces white and red wines near Chambéry. The whites, made from Jacquère grapes, are light, lively, and mineral-driven. The reds, made from Mondeuse grapes, offer the freshness and spicy notes typical of Savoie.
Chignin is also famous for its Chignin-Bergeron, a white wine made from Roussanne —known locally as Bergeron—that is remarkably rich and complex. The wines of Chignin perfectly reflect the Alpine character: fresh, mineral, and authentic.
