Our opinion on the vintage

The wine is a deep garnet color. The nose is refined and profound, with aromas of ripe cherry, damp earth, and stone fruit. The palate is round, ample, and enveloping, with a fleshy, velvety texture and fruit that is both ripe and crisp. The finish offers a delicious, fresh, and fruity chewiness, with notes of black cherry, sloe, petrichor, and spice.

A forgotten grape variety can transform a landscape: this is what Thomas Finot has proven by reviving Verdesse and Etraire de la Dhuy in the foothills of the Isère mountains. His wines possess a precision, almost crystalline quality, without ever becoming austere. Freshness comes naturally, as if flowing from the nearby mountain. The reds unfold gracefully, the whites oscillate between tension and quiet maturity. A patient revival that has yielded remarkable results.
