Our Review of the Cuvée

This Chardonnay is a true delight for white wine lovers. Its pale yellow color with hints of pale gold hints at a generous bouquet of exotic fruit aromas, particularly pineapple and mango, complemented by delicate floral notes. On the palate, its delicate attack and subtle roundness offer a harmonious and balanced sensory experience. Perfect as an aperitif or paired with a fish dish, this wine is sure to delight even the most discerning palates.

Based in Mercurey since 2013, Domaine de Cardon was founded by a group of wine enthusiasts determined to breathe new life into the Cardon family’s vineyards on the Côte Chalonnaise. Across 15 hectares in the Mercurey and Mercurey Premier Cru appellations, the estate cultivates Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Aligoté on clay-limestone soils, as well as Gamay on granite soils in Chiroubles.

Single-varietal winemaking to highlight the terroirs, with fine tannins and well-preserved fruit: Domaine de Cardon offers approachable and precise Burgundies that blend Burgundian tradition with a confident contemporary flair. Among the best value for money in the appellation.
