Brut de Cuve 2024

Côtes de Thongue | Red | 2024

This wine is made from a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc grapes grown on Miocene sandy-loam soils. The vines, averaging 25 years old and trained using the traditional pruning method, benefit from meticulous winemaking without the addition of sulfites. After a mechanical harvest in September, the wine is aged in concrete tanks, preserving the authenticity and freshness of its aromas. The estate, committed to responsible viticulture certified by Terra Vitis, guarantees a product free of chemical residues.

Our opinion on the vintage

Upon opening, this wine reveals a brilliant, translucent purple hue. The nose captivates with its freshness, evoking a red fruit candy enhanced with violet and a touch of pepper. On the palate, it seduces with its roundness and fullness, a luscious texture that envelops the palate with fresh, fruity flavors. The finish does not disappoint, with a vibrant burst of expressive fruit followed by delicate spices, offering a pleasant and dynamic tasting experience.

Domaine de l'Arjolle

Languedoc | France

Located in Languedoc, Domaine de l'Arjolle relies on a wide variety of grape varieties, chosen for their ability to adapt to the area's contrasting soils. This mosaic of vineyard plots allows for the production of wines with complementary profiles, built on balance rather than the pursuit of a single style.

The white wines are crafted from grapes at carefully controlled ripeness to preserve freshness and natural tension. The reds benefit from moderate extraction, resulting in supple textures and expressive fruit, without heaviness. Depending on the cuvée, aging alternates between tank and oak, with brief periods in barrel when this adds extra body without masking the expression of the grapes.

The entire process aims for a clear understanding of the blends and terroirs, resulting in wines that are fluid, direct, and approachable. The estate champions a measured approach, attentive to overall coherence and the clarity of the wines' profiles,
