L'Estrade 2024

Vin de France | White | 2024

Nestled in the stunning landscapes of the Hautes-Corbières, the estate spans 15 hectares, cultivated with meticulous care and respect for the environment. The vines, grown without pesticides or insecticides, thrive in schist and clay-limestone soils, naturally enriched by grazing animals between autumn and spring. Winemaking practices emphasize traditional methods, with hand-harvesting and sulfur-free fermentation favored by indigenous yeasts, resulting in an authentic and pure wine.

Our opinion on the vintage

L'Estrade boasts a brilliant pale yellow color, dotted with fine bubbles that catch the light. The nose reveals a delicate bouquet, combining the sweetness of pear with the richness of frangipane. On the palate, the attack is invigorating, offering a fleshy and luscious texture enhanced by a subtle effervescence. Flavors of green apple and lemon harmonize in an intense finish, blending a light chalky astringency with the refined bitterness of grapefruit and ginger. This wine, both fresh and complex, will seduce discerning wine lovers as an aperitif or with a meal featuring seafood.

Languedoc | France

Originally from Burgundy, Maxime Magnon settled in 2002 in the wild and rugged landscape of the Hautes Corbières, south of Corbières. There, between Villeneuve-les-Corbières, Durban, and Cascastel, he made an forgotten terroir his own, bringing old century-old vineyard plots back to life and establishing his name among the most exciting figures of the Languedoc revival.

The estate now covers about fifteen hectares exposed on clay, schist, and limestone soils at a good altitude, which give the grapes depth, finesse, and minerality. The vineyard is managed with a deep respect for living things: certified organic farming, manual work on the plots, and even the integration of animals (sheep, cows) that graze in winter to naturally enrich the microbial life of the soils.
