The expression « entre-deux-mers » (between-two seas) refers to the particularity of this part of the Bordeaux region, which lies between the waters of the Garonne in the south and the waters of the Dordogne in the north. The inter-seas AOC covers 1500 hectares and produces about 88 hectolitres of wine per year.
The soils of this wine-growing area are very diverse and are mainly composed of limestone, silica, gravel and silt. The geographical location of the vineyard allows the wines of the inter-two seas to benefit from an oceanic climate.
