Côtes du Marmandais | Red | 2025

Elian Da Ros's cuvée is the result of a bold blend of 40% Abouriou, 40% Cabernet Franc, and 20% Merlot. This wine is crafted with care, using methods that reveal the richness of these emblematic grape varieties. Gentle extraction preserves the integrity of the fruit, while 11 months of aging in large oak casks and concrete tanks gives the cuvée a harmonious structure and a velvety texture. A brief period in concrete tanks before bottling ensures optimal clarity.

Our opinion on the vintage

On the palate, the translucent purple robe invites a sensory exploration. On the nose, a fine and ripe bouquet unfolds, evoking wild berry coulis, subtly interwoven with a hint of herbaceousness. On the palate, the roundness and ample character blend with a delightful generosity, then the soft and fleshy texture blossoms into luscious notes of ripe fruit. The finish is a fluid and lingering experience, combining spicy notes with a pleasant and flavorful tactile sensation.

Hailing from the Marmandais region, Elian Da Ros has crafted a unique style around Abouriou and Cabernet Franc. His wines are characterized by gentle extraction and a constant focus on fluidity. They possess an immediate charm but reveal, after a few seconds, a quiet depth. In short: they breathe deeply. A beautiful way to discover this sometimes overlooked region.
