Vin de France | White | 2023

The winemaking process of this wine derives its distinctive character from an 11-day maceration of Muscadelle grapes, followed by blending with grape varieties such as Mauzac Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc. Aged in demi-muids for 7 months, the result is an elegant, balanced, and complex wine. This wine is distinguished by its finesse and depth. Ideally served at 15°C in summer and 17°C in winter, it is best enjoyed at the correct serving temperature.

Our opinion on the vintage

On the nose, this wine reveals delicate aromas of ripe white fruit and white flowers, inviting a rich sensory experience. On the palate, the texture is silky and subtly taut, offering a perfect harmony between freshness and roundness. The nuances imparted by aging in demi-muids translate into a luscious complexity, with subtle notes of white-fleshed fruit and a touch of spice on the finish. A beautiful balance that lingers pleasantly and unfolds an enchanting aromatic palette.

Domaine Plageoles

Languedoc | France

In Gaillac, Domaine Plageoles has been dedicated for several generations to promoting the indigenous grape varieties of the Gaillac vineyards, including Mauzac, Ondenc, Prunelart, and Duras. This fundamental work aims to preserve an ancient varietal heritage, closely linked to the soils and climate of the plateau.

Each vintage explores a different facet of these grape varieties, with profiles ranging from ethereal to more structured expressions, always rooted in their origin. The white wines are distinguished by their crisp structure and delicate bitterness that lingers on the finish, while the reds display grainy tannins, characteristic of the local varieties.

The winemaking process favors a refined approach, with aging carried out gently so as not to mask the expression of the grapes. The estate's work as a whole offers a clear and faithful interpretation of the Gaillac vineyard, providing a precise understanding of its historical identity and the diversity of
