CHATEAU DE CALAVON

In the heart of the Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence appellation, the same family has been perpetuating a 19th-century tradition for almost 100 years. The appellation, which came into being in 1985, benefits from magnificent exposure between Marseille and Arles. And at Calavon, the terroir, ideal for red wines, is marked by the finesse of the sands, the strength of the clays, and a subtle dose of limestone pebbles... Château de Calavon has been in the same family for five generations. Operated since the time of the Princes of Orange, it was broken up during the French Revolution and gradually rebuilt. From 1998 to 2017, the 5th generation undertook major work on the vineyard and winery, with the aim of making Château de Calavon an essential reference in the appellation. Today, the quest for excellence continues.
