A Bachelorette Party… in the Vineyards
You’ve been chosen as the maid of honor for your best friend’s wedding—congratulations! After all the excitement, laughter, tears, and countless thanks, it feels flattering at the time…
Top wine regions for a bachelorette party
It’s best to plan this day in the sunshine—for the sake of your feet (to avoid the mud) and to make your friend happy. For that reason, consider regions in the south of France such as Languedoc-Roussillon and Provence. The scenery is breathtaking, and vineyards are everywhere! With a train ride from Paris that takes just 3 hours, you’ll be there in no time.
What should I do when I arrive?

Once you’ve dropped off your bags at a local’s place, an Airbnb, or simply a hotel, get together and plan a little itinerary for your friend. Why not come up with a treasure hunt or an obstacle course centered around vineyards and wine? Write little notes in the form of riddles, word puzzles, or brain teasers. Get creative!

Put on your boots (you never know!), blindfold your girlfriend, and lead her to the heart of a beautiful vineyard…oneyou’ve scouted out beforehand. You’ll have done your research beforehand on viticulture, different production methods, and wine appellations to impress your friend! You might also plan a wine tasting at one (or more) of the region’s wineries, or a ride on horseback, in a 2CV, or on Segways through the vineyards. Be creative and make her dream.
Whether you're exploring the great wines of Burgundy, the Jurançon Wine Route, or taking a getaway to the Var, wine tourism will take you on a journey!
To wrap up your bachelorette party, bring along a nice bottle of wine and some glasses, and raise a toast as the sun sets—your friend will remember it for a long time to come.
And remind him, too, that
“Love is drinking the same wine, but each from their own glass.”
