Our opinion on the vintage

From the first sip, the wine reveals an enchanting bouquet of ripe red fruit, sweet spices, and a subtle floral touch. On the palate, it unfolds with a silky texture, subtly punctuated by vibrant freshness. Melted tannins lend it a delicate structure, while mineral notes add beautiful depth. The finish is long, leaving a lingering impression of fruit and earth. A delight for the senses, to be savored slowly to fully appreciate its sensory richness.

Domaine Jean Foillard

Beaujolais | France

Located in Villié-Morgon, at the heart of one of Beaujolais' most emblematic crus, Domaine Jean Foillard is today an absolute benchmark for lovers of great terroir Gamays. A key figure in the Beaujolais revival, Jean Foillard very early on chose viticulture that respects living organisms and natural vinification, following in the footsteps of the pioneers who restored the region's reputation.

The vines, often over 50 years old, plunge their roots into the granitic soils typical of Morgon, bringing depth, structure, and a unique mineral signature to the wines. Here, there are no artificial interventions: manual harvesting, indigenous yeasts, little to no sulfur, long and gentle macerations to extract the fruit without harshness. Everything is designed to preserve the purity of the grape and the most sincere expression of the place.
