Essentiel Blanc de Blancs puts Chardonnay front and center in a cuvée designed to express the full precision of the great Champagne terroirs. The grapes come from the Côte des Blancs, the Montagne de Reims, and the Sézannais, featuring a selection of 10 crus and 30% reserve wines. Made from hand-harvested grapes, this champagne is aged on its lees for at least 36 months, followed by an Extra-Brut dosage of 6 g/L that preserves its purity and vibrancy.
This cuvée is part of Piper-Heidsieck’s Essentiel collection, dedicated to the House’s more complex and gastronomic champagnes. It is a particularly refined interpretation of a Blanc de Blancs, where the freshness of the Chardonnay meets the depth imparted by aging.

Our Review of the Cuvée
The nose reveals a delicate bouquet of white flowers, lemon, and lime, enhanced by notes of toasted bread and a hint of minerality. On the palate, citrus fruits bring a lively brightness, while a silky texture gradually reveals hints of acacia honey. The wine is precise and elegant, with a lovely chalky quality that adds depth. The finish lingers with a persistent, briny freshness, carried by fine bubbles. A refined and luminous Blanc de Blancs that combines freshness, finesse, and depth.

Piper-Heidsieck House
Champagne | France
Founded in Reims in 1785 by Florens-Louis Heidsieck, Piper-Heidsieck is one of Champagne’s great historic houses. From its very beginnings, it has been distinguished by a bold ambition: to craft elegant, full-bodied champagnes capable of captivating the great European courts. Today, the House carries on this legacy while embracing a resolutely contemporary approach, led by its Cellar Master, Émilien Boutillat. His style is rooted in the art of blending, drawing on a selection of crus and wines to create precise and balanced cuvées. Committed to more sustainable viticulture, Piper-Heidsieck is B Corp certified and works to reduce its environmental footprint. An iconic House that combines nearly 250 years of history, innovation, and a constant pursuit of excellence.
