Domaine de Brin

Mauzac Maceration 2021

Vin de France | Orange | 2021

Domaine de Brin, located in the heart of the Gaillac AOC, offers a wine made entirely from Mauzac grapes, cultivated using organic methods on clay-limestone soil. The vines receive meticulous care, with natural ground cover and careful soil cultivation to ensure a healthy and ripe harvest. Vinification, similar to that of a Beaujolais red, involves whole-cluster fermentation before prolonged contact with the skins. Aging in tanks ensures an authentic expression of the terroir.

Brin Estate

Domaine de Brin

Sud-Ouest | France

In Gaillac, the Brin estate is run by Damien Bonnet, with particular attention paid to the region's historic grape varieties. Braucol, Duras, and Loin-de-l'Oeil are worked plot by plot, in order to highlight the differences in soil and the nuances specific to each origin.

The vineyard is managed using organic practices, promoting a clear expression of the fruit and natural balance. In the cellar, winemaking is carried out with precision and restraint, seeking to preserve the tension and suppleness of the wine rather than creating showy wines. Extractions are kept to a minimum, resulting in wines that are easy to understand and approachable.

The wines are distinguished by their straightforward structure, consistent energy, and a clearly defined Gaillac identity. All the cuvées display a beautiful coherence, built around balance, freshness, and a faithful expression of the Gaillac terroir.
