The Must See Domains in Médoc

Château Gadet-Terrefort

Château Gadet-Terrefort is above all a family story. Anaïs took over the reins of the estate succeeding to her father. You will have the opportunity to taste the wines of Anaïs, a winegrower with a new vision. Indeed, after a long career in auditing, she chose to start her studies in the wine sector.

At the castle, you are received like regular guests: Anaïs has a welcoming spirit, she also manages guest houses on the estate. You will have the opportunity to visit the winery, the wine storehouses but also the maturing cellar before tasting the wines of the estate. It will be the perfect moment to exchange, in all simplicity, about her passion for her job.

Château Baudan

Going down towards Bordeaux, you will come across the small town of Listrac-Médoc. Does the name mean anything to you? It should. The surrounding vineyards produce wines that will be named after the town's name. It is in this idyllic location that the Blasquez family cultivates its ten hectares of Cru Bourgeois. You will undoubtedly fall under the charm of this completely renovated château after a long sleep of 60 years.

At Château Baudan, we are welcomed by Alain, the winemaker. He is happy to talk to you about his job, and passionately about his wines. The most greedy of our wine tourists will be tempted by the dishes and meals concocted on the premises by the family: a guaranteed success.

Château Fourcas-Duprès

As you cross the village of Listrac-Médoc, you can see this large house with red tiles and green shutters. You have arrived : it is the Château Fourcas-Dupré. On the estate, you will be amazed by the beauty of the landscape: rows of vines as far as the eye can see. Inside, where Patrice and Ghislain vinify their harvest, the winery impresses by its size while the old vat room makes you aware of the tradition that is perpetuated at the château.

At Fourcas-Dupré, the winegrowers warmly welcome you to tell you their story: from the transmission of the estate by their father to their ideas for innovation. Talking about it over a glass of one of their vintages goes without saying. For the most curious, Ghislain proposes a vertical tasting of one of these vintages: taste 3 vintages of the same batch to try to differentiate them.

Château Haut-Breton Larigaudière

Following the Garonne River, we arrive at Margaux. The town gives its name to the prestigious appellation that the finest Bordeaux wine lovers are fighting for. Here, the De Schepper family cultivates its 15-hectare vineyard with the greatest respect for nature: the wines are certified High Environmental Value.

You'll feel like an actor in this film scenery. As you enter the estate, you will discover this oak-lined driveway that rolls out the red carpet for you. In the background, you can see this magnificent pale yellow château which appears on the labels of the estate's vintages. After a visit of the interior of the château, you can take part in the various educational workshops to discover the wine: tastings in the barrel, with a game of aromas or vertical.

Château Siran

A few minutes drive from the town of Margaux, at the point where the Garonne and Dordogne rivers separate, Château Siran will stand on your way. At the estate, it is the 6th generation of winegrowers who work the land of Siran and who are represented today by Edouard Miailhe.

At the gates of Bordeaux, in this beautiful, typically Medoc-like estate, you will have the opportunity to taste great wines produced in the Margaux appellation. The winemaker, according to the formula you choose, will show you every corner of his estate, his vines and his maturing cellars. This will be followed by a tasting of the estate's wines under the theme of simplicity, because after all, wine itself is a simple pleasure.
